This applique and embroidery story is inspired by Operatic theatre set designs. The Opera Strappy Dress is embroidered in layers of tonal applique onto a fine dot tulle to portray the shadowy layers of theatre sets, finished with striking, colourful sequin borders, reminiscent of the gilt edging on classical columns. Originally a UK 12/US 8, but I had it tailored down to a small. It should fit a 4/6.
